Ten Children’s Mercy Physicians Selected Among the Nation’s Top Doctors
U.S. News named 10 physicians from Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics to their "Top Doctors" list. The first "Top Doctors" list was developed in collaboration with Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., publisher of America's Top Doctors and other guides. Physicians nationwide nominated their peers who excel in their specialty, and who they felt were most worthy of referrals.

Children's Mercy Breaks Ground on East Location

Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics broke ground on its newest location, Children's Mercy East, on Thursday, June 23. The new, three-story, 55,000 square foot facility, will be located at I-70 and Little Blue Parkway in Independence, Mo., and will house pediatric subspecialty outpatient clinics, the Edward G. and Kathryn E. Mader Urgent Care Center, radiology and laboratory services and more for families of Independence, Blue Springs, Lee's Summit and eastern Jackson County.

Bench-to-Bedside Research Receives $20 Million Boost
Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics will partner to build research infrastructure and provide key leadership roles for a new program, Frontiers: The Heartland Institute for Clinical and Translational Research. Headquartered at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Frontiers is a multi-center, network of scientists working on translational research - research that transforms laboratory discoveries into treatments and cures - for adult and pediatric patients. The five-year Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) from the National Institutes of Health totals $19,794,046, and was announced today by the KU Medical Center. Read more»
